Abigail GARLAND and Samuel C. JENNESS were married on 15 November 1748 in Rye, Rockingham, New Hampshire.^13,87 Samuel C. JENNESS, son of Richard JENNESS and Mary DOW, was born on 19 March 1724 in Rye, Rockingham, New Hampshire.^13,87 He died in 1800 at the age of 76 in New Hampshire.¹³

Samuel was an early resident of Rye, New Hampshire and was a representative from Rye in 1774 and Justice of the Peace in 1775. The History of Hampton indicates that his 2nd wife was Widow Elizabeth Shapley.
