The History of Northwood (in History of Nottingham, Deerfield and Northwood, 1878) refers to Sarah as "Sallie". Sarah "Sallie" GARLAND and Deacon Francis JENNESS were married about 1740 in Rye, Rockingham, New Hampshire.13,87 Deacon Francis JENNESS, son of Richard JENNESS and Mary DOW, was born on 3 December 1715 in Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire.87 [The DAR Patriot Index - Centennial Edition (p. 1592) says that he was born on 1 Dec 1715] He served in the American Revolution from New Hampshire.87 [The DAR Patriot Index lists him as Civil Service and Patriotic Service.] He was living on 20 January 1784 in Rye, Rockingham, New Hampshire.87
