The card said that he was age 26, born Racine, Wisconsin on 15 Feb 1891. He was single, a telegraph operator for Western Union, and living with his mother, who was dependent on him. He was of medium height and build, had grey eyes, light hair and was slightly balding. He signed his name Leslie Ritscher Philbrook.

He appeared in the census on 24 January 1920 in Casper, Natrona, Wyoming.⁴⁹³ Age 28, born Wisconsin, father born Ohio, mother Illinois. He was a watchman for an oil refinery and his household included his mother Katherine Philbrook, 50. Name on census: Leslie Philbrook.

He died on 16 October 1975 at the age of 84 in Huntington Park, Los Angeles, California.^2073,3062 Leslie was buried at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, Orange, California.³⁰⁶⁴

Leslie Ritscher PHILBROOK and Lila Kloth AHRENS were married. [The only evidence found so far is the fact that they are both buried in the same grave. More research needed.]

Lila Kloth AHRENS, daughter of George AHRENS and Elizabeth SPILLMAN, was born on 9 May 1896 in Washington.¹⁹⁹² She died on 3 October 1981 at the age of 85 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California.¹⁹⁹² She was buried at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, Orange, California.³⁰⁶⁴
