He died on 26 February 1844 at the age of 37.⁷⁰ He was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Prospect, Waldo, Maine.⁷⁰

His tombstone reads:

Sacred to the memory of
Elisha Philbrook and his wife Sarah
Beneath these stones to lie,
Back to back, my wife and I.
When the last trumpet the air shall fill,
If she gets up, I'll just lie still.

Elisha PHILBROOK and Sarah Cornelia FOWLES were married before 1838.⁷⁰ She married Benjamin PARTRIDGE in 1850, and had four children from 1851 thru 1861.

Sarah Cornelia FOWLES, daughter of Asa FOWLES and Mary CHOATE, was born on 1 March 1817.⁷⁰ She died on 1 June 1875 at the age of 58.⁷⁰ She was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Prospect, Waldo, Maine.⁷⁰

Elisha PHILBROOK-19633 and Sarah Cornelia FOWLES-19637 had the following children:

7315	i.	Ursula P. PHILBROOK was born about 1838.⁷⁰ She died on 23 October 1843 at the age of 5.⁷⁰ She was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Prospect, Waldo, Maine.⁷⁰
