Name on census: John L. Davenport. John lived 3300 So. Irving Ave. in Chicago, Cook, Illinois on 5 April 1923.3116 This was the residence of his daughter Myrtle and her husband William Mueller. He died on 6 April 1923 at the age of 53 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.3116 He was living with his daughter Myrtle and her husband William Mueller at the time. The cause of death was listed as disease of the spine and spinal cord. There was also a notation "removed a tubercular granulation". He was buried 9 Apr in Bethania. NOTE: The "informant" for John's death certificate, William Mueller (John's son-in-law), stated that John's parents were born in Nebraska. However, this information has proven to be false. His granddaughter Gloria seems to remember that he had been in an accident and injured a disk in his back that required an operation. She thinks that he had been confined to a wheelchair.
