Elizabeth "Betsey" PHILBRICK and Nathaniel FOLSOM were married after 1828.724 He was the cousin of Peter Sanborn FOLSOM. Nathaniel FOLSOM, son of Jeremiah FOLSOM and Abigail ROLLINS, was born in 1748 in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire.724 He died in 1831 at the age of 83 in Mount Vernon, Kennebec, Maine.455,724 [Some sources say he died 11 March 1799 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.] He served in the Rev. War in Capt. Nathan Sanborn's Co., Colonel Tash's Regt., raised to reinforce the Continental Army at New York, 1776 (NH Rev War Rolls, Vol.1, p. 398). He was also in Capt. Simon Marston's Co., Col. John Waldron's Regt., 1776. He was a blacksmith, sold out his property in Deerfield in 1780, and followed his uncle, Capt. Benjamin Folsom to Mount Vernon. |
