Earlene Faye BOWDEN and Wilber Walter TAYLOR were married on 22 November 1951. Wilbur and at least one brother operated Taylor Bros. Excavating in the Rapid City, SD area from 1945-1966. He was Superintendent of Highways for Gregory Co, SD 1966-79, during which time they lived in Burke, the county seat. They retired back to her house at 23 E. Quincy in Rapid City. Wilbur was later hospitalized at the Veterans' Hospital in Ft. Meade, SD, where he died. Earlene continues to live at 23 E. Quincy (as of June 1996). Wilber Walter TAYLOR was born on 3 August 1913. He was a veteran of World War II. He died on 24 April 1992 at the age of 78 in Fort Meade, Sturgis, Meade, South Dakota.
