NISEN (Gladys and Curly) mentioned that "Birthdays come much too often -- faster and faster as the years roll by - but they can be pleasant affairs. Glenn's, his 84th, was marked by a lively day or two, with Eugene, Niesje, and Phil and Mary here at Tharwood. Not enough time but we revelled in every minute of it. Then later, for Helen's big day, her 80th, we were at Eugene's and Niesje's home in Homewood, Ill. where came Eleanor with offspring Paul and Laura from California, Phil and Mary from Kalamazoo and their two, John from Lansing and Debbie with husband Dan from Grand Rapids and their two, David and Sarah, our great grand children. Such fleeting moments are too soon past - but the memory is there to enjoy again and again."
