4589. Edwin PHILBROOK¹⁰²⁹ was born on 26 August 1837 in Saint Albans, Licking, Ohio. He died on 5 February 1890 at the age of 52.¹³⁴ He graduated from the Illinois State Normal School in 1860; enlisted as a soldier and served from 1861-1865.

Edwin PHILBROOK and Ellen C. PILLSBURY were married on 9 May 1871 in Macon County, Illinois.^1029,1694 They were both teachers. He taught 7 years in Kansas. In 1880 he was a professor in the High School at Decatur, IL and his wife was in the primary department. They had no children. Ellen C. PILLSBURY¹⁰²⁹, daughter of Luther C. PILLSBURY, was born on 21 April 1844 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut.¹³⁴ She died in 1904 at the age of 60.¹³⁴
