F, 14th illinois Cavalry. He was taken prisoner and died in Andersonville Prison, Andersonville, Georgia. He died on 29 November 1864 at the age of 45 in Andersonville, Sumter, Georgia.1029 [the PPFA has the date as 6 Feb 1865].

In 1880 his family was in Fayette Co., IL. Albert was buried at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Sumter, Georgia.70

Sergeant Albert PHILBROOK and Elizabeth Ann GRIFFITH were married on 2 April 1846 in Fayette County, Illinois.792,1687 Elizabeth Ann GRIFFITH1029, daughter of Samuel GRIFFITH and Mary Ann BECKLEY, was born on 13 February 1827.70 [possibly Pennsylvania] She died on 25 October 1913 at the age of 86 in Saint Elmo, Fayette, Illinois.70 [near] She was buried at Sidener Cemetery in Saint Elmo, Fayette, Illinois.70
