He appeared in the census on 17 January 1920 in Stuart, Holt, Nebraska. Age 44, born Iowa, parents born Vermont. He was a farmer and his household included his wife Alexandria, 41, and children Ida F., 18; Ora O., 16; Beulah F., 14; Busnce A., 7; and Delmar J., 11 months. Name on census: Nathaniel Philbrick.

His household included his wife Alexandria, 51, and son Delmar, 11. Also living with his was his daughter Bernice, 17, and her husband Darrell V. Freeman, 22. Name on census: Nalional Philbrick.

He was living between 1945 and 1951 in Rapid City, Pennington, South Dakota.3102,3111,3112 His address was 1104 Matteson Ave. Later the street was named N. 7th Street. During this time his occupation was laborer.

He died on 6 October 1952 at the age of 74 in Stuart, Holt, Nebraska.3113 He died on Ora's farm outside Stuart and is buried in Stuart cemetery.

Nathaniel Edward "Nat" PHILBRICK and Alexandria "Zanny or Zan" ALBERTSON were married on 23 January 1900 in Laurel, Cedar, Nebraska. The ceremony was performed by Methodist pastor John H. Frazer and the witnesses were her parents, J.J. and Emma C. Albertson.

Nat and Zan were farming in northern Holt County near Dustin, near the Niobrara (and Keyapaha) River and catercorner from Cleveland Congregational (later Presbyterian) Church when Berniece was born. Later they farmed west-northwest of Stuart, still in Holt Co. By 1926 they were on a farm near Manchester (Iroquois address?) and then northeast of DeSmet in Kingsbury Co, South Dakota. During the 1930s they were in Milbank SD. During the 1940s they were in Rapid City SD, along Rapid Creek on the west extension of Omaha St. Nat was a drayman and had a team of bighorn sheep to pull his wagon. After WWII they moved up on the hill ("North Rapid") to 1104 N. Mattison (later 7th) Ave. They were strict Methodists (Free Methodists in Rapid city). After Zan's stroke they lived with son Ora on the farm they had years earlier near Stuart NE.

Alexandria "Zanny or Zan" ALBERTSON, daughter of James J. ALBERTSON and Emma COLTON, was born on 15 November 1879 in Iowa.

She appeared in the census on 6 June 1900 in Precinct 18, Cedar, Nebraska. Age 20, born Nov 1879 Iowa, father born Ohio, mother New York. She had been married less than an year and had no children. She was living with husband Nathaniel. Name on census: Elexendra Philbrick.

She had first married at age 21 and was living with husband Nathaniel and their son Delmar. Their daughter Bernice and her husband were also living with them. Name on census: Alexandria Philbrick.

She died on 1 September 1953 at the age of 73 in Stuart, Holt, Nebraska. She had had a stroke before Nat's death. She is buried in Stuart cemetery.

Delmar died of strep infection (a pimple on the knee) on 27 February 1933 at the age of 14 in Milbank, Grant, South Dakota.
