Christie CALDERWOOD and William Emery WHITNEY were married on 14 June 1907.⁶²⁴ William Emery WHITNEY²³⁴⁰, son of Merritt Austin WHITNEY and Cora Ella HEWITT, was born on 7 June 1884 in Rockport, Knox, Maine.⁶²⁴ Before 1968 he was a farmer.⁶²⁴ This is what was listed in his obituary. However, during his lifetime he was a conductor on a streetcar and a worker in the shoe factories in Worcester, MA. He died on 29 November 1968 at the age of 84 in Camden, Knox, Maine.⁶²⁴ He was buried 2 Dec 1968 in Rockville Cemetery, Rockville, ME.
