296. Hans Hess⁽²⁾⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾ was born about 1683 in Switzerland. He died in 1733 in Pequea Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa (Probably). He was buried in Pequea Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa. He has reference number 296. He was probably part of the 1717 Mennonite immigration. He settled in Lampeter township, Lan caster county,PA, and later in Pequea (then Conestoga) township.

He was a farmer and cordwainer (shoemaker). He was married to Magdalena about 1704.

297. Magdalena⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾ was born about 1685 in Switzerland. She died in Feb 1767 in Pennsylvania. She was buried in Pequea Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa. Children were:

i. Jacob Hess⁽²⁾ was born about 1705. He died in 1741 in of Warwick Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa. He was buried in Hess Cem Lititz, Lancaster Co, Pa. He patented 200 acres in Warwick township, Lancaster county, PA in 1735.

DEATH: probably 1741; "Goodly Heritage" and Frantz's book say died 1760.
ii. Anna Hess⁽²⁾ was born in 1712. She died in 1792.
iii. John Hess⁽²⁾ was born in 1713. He died in 1767. RESIDENCES: possibly Warwick township, Lancaster county, PA
iv. Christian Hess⁽²⁾ was born on 28 Aug 1714. He died on 8 Mar 1794. He was buried in Pequea Twp., Lancaster Co., Pa. RELATIONSHIP: unmarried
