Good News: If you are interested in the history and the genealogy of the NC Union Volunteers formed in North Carolina during the American Civil War, please join with us. Our discussions will cover the soldiers, the battles, the regimental histories, the soldiers' military and pension records and all other aspects of the four regiments of NC Union Volunteers: the 1st & 2nd NC Union Volunteer Infantries, formed in the eastern coastal area of North Carolina, and the 2nd & 3rd NC Union Mounted Infantries. Also, soldiers from North Carolina who served in other Union regiments and sailors and marines who served in the Union Navy. Welcome to one and all.

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE

You can subscribe to our list in Mail Mode* by sending an Email message to:

subscribe

in the Text area, and nothing else. Leave the Subject line blank.

If you prefer Digest Mode*, you should Email the subscribe command instead to:

* Mail Mode - you receive each email sent to the list individually.
* Digest Mode - you receive several emails at once as a digest, with a table of contents.


HOW TO UNSUBSCRIBE

To unsubscribe, follow the steps above, except enter the command, "unsubscribe" (without the quotes) in the Text and Email to:

[email protected] (if in Mail Mode) or

[email protected] (if in Digest Mode.)

Remember: If you Subscribed in the Mail Mode, you must Unsubscribe in the Mail Mode, and if you Subscribed in the Digest Mode, you must Unsubscribe in the Digest Mode. To switch from one mode to the other, you should unsubscribe from one and then subscribe to the other. There is no "no mail" mode -- if you want messages to stop, you should simply unsubscribe.


HOW TO SEND A MESSAGE

Once you are subscribed, to send a message to the List, Email it to:

[email protected]

!!! Please put the Subject of your message in the Subject Line !!!

This will let others know what your message is about.
