= In Saint John, after a lengthy illness, on Dec 2, 1975, Abram C. (A.C.) Thomson, of Hampstead, husband of the late Mrs. Addie (Slipp) Thomson; survived by one son, two sisters, six brothers, two grandaughters, one great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Resting at the Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, until 11:30 am. on Friday, at which time the body will be taken to rest at the Central Hampstead Baptist Church for funeral service at 2:30 pm. Interment will take place in the Central Hampstead Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home 7:00-9:00 pm on ednesday and 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm on Thursday. (#1/TJ)THOMPSON - Abram C.A.
= The death of Abram C. (A.C.) Thomson, a retired general merchant of Hampstead, Queens County, occurred in Saint John Tuesday evening after a lengthy illness. He was born in Hampstead, son of the late George and Laura (Gaunce) Thomson and had been a life-long resident of that community.
He operated Thomson's General Store in Hampstead from 1913 to 1970.
He was a veteran of the First World War and a member of the Knights of Pythias, Saint John Lodge No. 30.
He was a member of the New Brunswick Lodge No. 22, F. and AM and a past master of this lodge; an honorary member of Hibernia Lodge No. 3, F. and AM.
He was a member of the Hampstead United Baptist Church and a member of the Hampstead-Gagetown Quartet which sang in various churches in the area.
His wife, the former Addie L. Slipp, died in 1946. He is survived by one son, Murray S., Saint John; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Anderson, Hampstead and Mrs. Rheta Lee, Panama; six brothers, Harry F., Lottimer A. and George L. all of
Hampstead; Ernest E. , Saint John; Manford M. and James L. both of Hill, New Hampshire; two grandaughters, one
great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.
The body is resting at the Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, where services will be held at 1:00 pm to be followed by a funeral service at the Central Hampstead United Baptist Church at 2:30 pm.
