PEMBERTON - Lena Hazel (Mrs. Ivan)
    Truro - Mrs. Ivan Pemberton, 81, of Truro, d. Monday at the Halifax Infirmary.
    Born at Nine Mile River, she was the former Lena Hazel Parker, a daughter of the late James and Mary (MacDougall) Parker. She was an adherent of Jehovah's Witnesses.
    Surviving are one daughter, Doris (Mrs. William Bradbury), Lower Sackville; two sons, Kenneth Weatherbee, Lower Truro; Everett Weatherby, Truro; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Reid, Kentville; Mrs. Alma Crandall, Brass Corner; two brothers,
Sidney, Truro; Arthur, Harmony; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
    She was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Weatherbee, and her second husband, Ivan Pemberton.
    The body is at the Matatakk Funeral Home where funeral and committal services will be held Thursday at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any charity. (#1/prob. a Truro paper?)

Pender in his 84th year, husband of the late Ethel Smith, Presque Isle, ME, s/o the late Beverly and Alice (Inch) Pender, New Jerusalem, Queens Co, NB. Survived by a daughter, 3 sisters, 1 bro, several nieces and nephews. Interment at Mount Vernon, WA, USA (#1,TJ,?)

= Unexpectedly at the Dartmouth General Hospital, Dartmouth, NS, on 28 Apr 1989, Phillip Allen Pickard, aged 73 yrs, of Temprancevalle; survived by his wife, Maida M. (Corey) Pickard, a foster daughter, Mrs. Loren Lyons (Nancy), Prince George, BC. six sisters Doris Blaney, Beatrice Hallett, Mrs. Frank Cole (Freda), Mrs. Fraser Pike (Agnes), all of Temprance; Hazel Elliot, Stanley; Mrs. Ralph Crossen (Ruth), Nortondale; two brothers, Talph, Temperance Vale; Beverly, Oromocto; two granddaughters, Jennifer and LAr-Lynn Lyons, several nieces and nephews.  Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, Otis Drive, Nacawic... funeral will be Monday at 2 pm, at St Luke's Anglican Church, Temprance Vale, burial in adjoining cemetery. E. A. Rodeheffer. Mrs. Frank Lewis, organist; Miss Mabel Brunson soloist; H. C. Parker, MLA, Welsford, NB, brother-in-law of the groom was best man and Sgt. Vernon Fritz was groomsman. Ushers were Robert Evans, cousin of the bride from Dayton, Ohio and Cleo Tracey of Loveland.  Miss Mabyl McCracken, Boston, MA sister of the groom was maid of honour, Mrs. Vernon Fitz was matron of honour. Among the out of town guest were Mrs. Wm. H. McCracken, mother of the groom, Mr. & Mrs. H. C. Parker, sister and Brother-in-law of the groom. Mrs. Thomas Trite, Miami, FL, the bridge's cousin.  Sgt. Richard Pickelheimer is serving with the US Army in the Pacific and Capt. George E. McCracken is with the Canadian Army in Germany. They are brothers of the bride and groom. (#1,TJ,?)

Funeral Sat 2 pm, from Temprance Vale United Baptist Church, and interment in Temprance Vale Cemetery.  Flewelling's Funeral Home, Nackawic had arrangements.

= Mrs. John S. Pike d. at her res., Central Greenwich, Kings Co, on Sat after a brief illness.  She had resided there for 22 yrs.  d/o Mary J. and the late James B. Marsters. Born in Windsor, NS.  Member of St. Paul's Church, Oak Pt.  Survived besides her husband are 3 sons, A.B. Brenton James Pike (crewman on Athabaskan); A.B. Donald S. Pike, on active service at a Canadian port; and Alonzo E. Pike, at home;  her mother, Mrs. Mary J. Marsters, Saint John; 4 sisters - Mrs. E.C. Lake, Boston, MA; Mrs. W.F. Dunlop, Mrs. Lorne E. Sprague and Mrs. Malcolm Patterson, all of Saint John.  5 brothers: Charles S. & Edward P. of Milltown, NB; John M., Cornwall, ON; L/Cpl. T.B., Camp Utopia; L.A.C. PROSSER - Harold E. (Rev)
= Rev. Harold R. Prosser, a Pentecostal minister was buried from the church in Gagetown largely built by his own hands.  He died in a highway accident at Welsford. Services conducted by Rev. Earl L. Jacques, Fredericton, assisting were: Rev. L. H. Blakney, Mill Cove; Rev. Eldrick Kadey, Geary; Mrs. Blakney as organist.  Pallbearers were: Frank Hitchman, Henry Cameron, Earl Thompson and Bliss Sinnot. After the funeral the body was taken to Petitcodiac where another service was held in the Baptist Church prior to interment at Glenvale. (#1,TJ,?)

PROSSER - Harold E. (Rev)
= Rev. Harold E. Prosser, d. 2 Mar 1955 of injuries, aged 40 yrs.  Pastor of the Pentecostal Church, Gagetown for 1 1/2 yrs. Accident occurred near Welsford when his car was in collision with a truck driven by George Kirkpatrick, Woodstock. He d. before an ambulance arrived.  Dr John A. McLaughlin, corner for Westfield was called. Brenan's Funeral Home handled funeral details. Born at Glenville, near Petitcodiac, Westmorland Co, s/o the late Solomon & Violet Prosser.  Attended Zion Bible School, East Providence, RI.  Survived by his wife, the former Mildred (Steeves) d/o Jacob Steeves, of Petitcodiac; two sons, Paul, aged 9 and Phillip, aged 3, both at home.  Four bros., Lester, Gilbert and Galen of Petitcodiac and Calvin of Hillsborough, Albert Co.
