MACHUM - Alfred G. / or G. Alfred
= Alfred G. Machum d. at home in Brown's Flats, in his 81st year.  b. at New Jerusalem, Queens Co, s/o the late Alexander & Elizabeth (Inch) Machum. He was a farmer in New Jerusalem most of his life. Survived by his wife, two daus: Mrs. R.A. Howe, New Jerusalem & Miss Lillia A. Machum, Saint John; 2 sons: Harry A., Brown's Flats & Alfred M. G., St Stephens.  Two brothers: E. R. Machum, Westfield & H.W. Machum, Hampton. Funeral from the United Church of Canada, New Jerusalem, by Rev. Roy Vessey. Pallbearers: Samuel Short; Archie Harrison, Frank Machum and Cecil Machum. MACHUM - Mrs. George E.
= Mrs. George E. Machum d. 22 Mar 1945 (1867-1945) at her home, New Jerusalem, NB.  Member of the Lake Baptist Church, d/o the late Deacon and Mrs. George Hamilton. Survived by her husband, 3 daus: Mrs. Maurice Webb, Armstrong's Corner; Mrs. Edwin J. Beckett, New Jerusalem and Rilla at home; one sister, Mrs. Edith Laurier.  Also several nieces and nephews.  Funeral from the home with Rev. Raymond Short, of Hampton conducting. (#1,TJ,?)

= George E. Machum passes at his home, New Jerusalem, aged 82 yrs. (16 Feb ed. of paper)  S/o the late Samuel & Emily Machum. Surviving 3 daus, Mrs. Maurice Webb, Armstrong's Corner; Mrs. Edward Beckett, Jerusalem and Rilla at home; one brother, James S. Machum, Revere, MA; one sister Mrs. George Vallis, Brown's Flats; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. Funeral from his home on Friday, Rev. K. Miller officiating. MACHUM - Sheriff
= Corner Dr. A. P. Walters was summoned from Cambridge to the accident causing the death of Sheriff Machum at Gagetown and he is holding an inquest. Mr. Machum was appointed about 1 yr ago, and moved from New Jerusalem early in the present year to Gagetown. Surviving are his wife; 1 daughter Aileen, taking a business course in Saint John and 1 son, Cecil at home.  1 bro, George of Jerusalem and 2 sisters, Mrs. K. Johnston of Brown's Flats and Mrs. George Vallis, of Jerusalem. (#1,TJ,?)

MACHUM - Thomas F.
= On 11 Sep 1966, at the General Hospital, Saint John. Thomas F. Machum, husband of the late Lillian M. (Howe) Machum, of Acamac.  Survived by 2 sons, 4 daus, 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.  Funeral from Calvin's (Fallsview) 309 Lancaster Ave. on Wed. 2 pm to Brown's Flats Cemetery. MACHUM - Waldo C. (Rev. Dr.)
= Dr. Waldo C. Machum (Rev. Dr.), 67, died in Kentville, NS. Secretary of the Baptist Federation of Canada for the past 10 years. He suffered a stroke while recovering from pneumonia in hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB. From 1924 to 1931 was General Secretary of the Maritime Religious Education Council and five years was Maritime Boys Work Secretary for the Church. From 1931 to 1944 he was at Kentville, NS, as pastor when he was called to the Baptist Federation post which he held until his death. His widow, 3 brothers, 4 sisters survive.  Funeral Tuesday from Kentville, NS to Fredericton, where he will be buried. (#1,TJ,?)

MACHUM - Wm. A.
= 22 Oct 1926 Wm. A. Machum, High Sheriff of Queens Co, NB, drowned at 6 o'clock this evening when his car went over the end of the ferry. Sheriff Machum & Deputy Thomas Allingham were waiting for ferryman Arthur Ashburn to return to the ferry and both were out of the car when Mr Machum decided to move it onto the ferry. It is believed he stepped on the accelerator instead of the break, as the car shot over the bar placed on the scow to prevent such accidents. He was 57 yrs of age. (#1,TJ,?)

MacKinnon of  Hampton, survived by her husband, one son, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Formerly of Woodman's Point. Resting at Calvin's Funeral Home (Fallsview) 309 Lancaster Ave, West Saint John, where services will be held Sat at 11:00 am.  Interment at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. MacNAMARA, Ella May (Mrs. Charles)
    The death of a Central Greenwich, Kings County, woman, Mrs. Ella May May MacBamara, widow of Charles MacNamara, occurred Friday at the West Saint John Community Hospital.
    Born at Olinville, Queens County, Mrs. MacNamara was the daughter of the late John & Ellen (Rolston) Braydon.  She had resided the greater part of her life in Centeral Greenwich.  She was a member of St Paul's Anglican Church, Oak Point.
    She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert Lawrence, Saint John; one son, John, of Central Greenwich; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas McCutcheon and Mrs. E. L. Chipman, both of Saint John; one brother, William Braydon of Martinon; four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several neices and and nephews.  A daughter, Mrs. Ernest Short d. in 1973.
    The body is resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paridise Row, from where the funeral will be held Monday with services at 2 p.m.  Interment will follow in St Paul's Cemetery, Oak Point. (Visiting hours 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today and Sunday.) (#1/TJ)

= Harold Eugene Maston, aged 7 was drowned (pre Jul 19 ....) s/o Mr. & Mrs. Herbert Maston (an only child) of Young's Cove. Funeral Tuesday from the United Church, Rev. J. = Unexpectedly at Scarborough, ON, 5 Jul 1971, C. Albert McCutcheon, of 2851 Kingston Rd, Scarborough, ON, husband of  Elsie M. (nee McKee) McCutcheon, of Glen Falls; survived by his wife, 2 daus, 1 son, mother and father. The body will arrive in Saint John on Thursday and rest at Calvin's Funeral Home (Hilsley) 91 Leister St, from where the funeral will be held Saturday with services at 11:30 am. = Ldg. Sts. Gerald (Jerry) McFarlane, R.C.N.V.R.; s/o W.H. McFarlane has returned home after spending two years and two months overseas where he participated in the occupation of Africa and was aboard the "Illustrious" and the "Duke of York". = Edward McKinnon  d. 30 Jun 1948, aged 18 yrs, eldest s/o Mr. & Mrs. Stanley McKinnon, New Jerusalem (drowned).  He was swimming at Adamson's Mill Pond with Walter Adamson.  Dr. F.A. McGrand, Fredericton Jct, and Corner Arlie L. Palmer were called. Constable Phillips, of Gagetown R.C.M.P. investigated. Survived by his parents and sisters, Jean of St John, Vera, Muriel and Romelda at home, 3 bros, John, George & Raymond also at home. His grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth of Hatfield's Pt. = In the Sussex United Baptist Church, Rev. J. Murray Armstrong, united in m. Gertrude Constance, only d/o Mr. & Mrs. Stuart E. Moore, Sussex and Harry Irvine Kyle, Sussex, youngest s/o the late Mr. & Mrs Daniel Kyle. The bride was attended by the groom's sister, Miss Marguerite Kyle, and best man was George Moore, brother of the bride.  Mrs./ J. P. McIntyre played the wedding music, and Maurice Steeves was soloist. The ushers were Ernest Kyle, Susses, brother of the groom and Jack Henry, Apohaqui. Among the guest from out of town attending the wedding were Mr & Mrs Lawrence Moore, Mr. & Mrs. Ira Sear, Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Gillis and Dick Moore, Saint John; Mrs. Ruddel Babcock and dau Brenda, Dorchester; Mrs. C.
