ADAMS - Allan Stuart (Rev.)
= Rev. Allan Stuart Adams, dies at ae 91, a United Church of Canada Minister for 41 yrs, d. at the Turnbull Home on Wed after a brief illness.  Born in Tilt Cove, N'f'l'd, he was s/o the late Abel & Catherine (Banks) Adams. Grad. of Mt. Allison Univ, class of 1912.  First pastorate was in Labrador and from there had positions in the Maritimes, Newfoundland and Burmuda.  Retired from his last charge in Montague, P.E.I. in 1949. he lived in Oxford, NS, and for the last 4 yrs has lived in Saint John, where he was a mem. of St. Andrew and St David United Church.  His wife, the former Bessie E. Weldon, d. in 1971.  Survived by one dau, Jean, Mrs. Norval Eldridge, of St. J., one son, Donald S., Summerside, PEI, two sisters: Mrs. Emma Courtenay & Miss Winnifred, both of St. Johns, N'f'l'd, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Body at Castle Funeral Home, Hillsly, 91 Leinster St, from where funeral will be held on Fri at 2 pm. ADAMS - Timothy Marven
Drowned near his home, 15 Nov 1976, Timothy Marven Adams, ae 17 yrs, of Dumfries, NB.  Survived by Mother and step-father, Mr. & Mrs. Weldon Lawrence, two brothers, six sisters, two step brothers, three step sisters, several
aunts, uncles & cousins.  Resting at his home until Wed. noon, the body will then be taken to the Knox Presbyterian Church, Harvey Station, with services at 2 p.m. Rev. S. R. Jackson officiating.  Interment in Harvey Cemetery.  Flewelling's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (#1/DG)

= Donald A. Adamson d. at the Victoria General Hospital, in Dartmouth, NS, aged 69 yrs, formerly of New Jerusalem and Fredericton, NB.  Son of the late R.H. Adamson.  Employee of the Naval Armoires Depot, Dartmouth, NS.  Funeral from the Bethel Baptist Church, Tuft's Cove, by Rev. Charles Savage.  Interment in Mount Hermon Cemetery, Dartmouth. Survived by 2 daus: Grace, New York City; Mrs. E.M. (Agnes) Smith, Petitcodiac; 2 sons: Robert, Dartmouth and Malcolm D., Needham, MA.  A dau, Mrs. Elva Graham d. six years ago and his wife, the former Lena Beckett, of New Jerusalem d. in 1953 at their home in Dartmouth.  (about 1956) (#1,TJ,?)

= Mrs. Donald Adamson, d. of a heart attach in Dartmouth, NS, d/o the late Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Beckett, New Jerusalem, NB. Survived by her husband, 2 daus: Mrs. Agnes Smith, Petitcodiac, & Grace, New York; 2 sons: Malcolm, Arlington, MA & Robert at home.  2 sisters: Mrs. Alfred Short, Moncton, and Mrs. Hepburn Adamson, New Jerusalem. Five brothers and several other relatives, also survive. Members of the Bethel Baptist Church in Dartmouth, NS, from where the funeral was held. Burial is to be in the Rural Cemetery. (#1,TJ,?)

ADAMSON - Gertrude (Mrs)
= ADAMSON - At Browns Flat, Kings County, Sunday, May 7, 1961, Gertrude L. Adamson of West Jerusalem, Queens County, survived by two sons, five brothers, one sister, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
     Resting at her home in Browns Flat until May 9, when, following prayers at the home at 1:45 funeral service will be held in the Browns Flat United Baptist Church.  Interment in the Baptist Cemetery at New Jerusalem. (#1,TJ,?)

ADAMSON - Gertrude (Mrs)
= Mrs. Gertrude Adamson = Friends and neighbours were saddened by the sudden death of Mrs. Gertrude Adamson, widow of the late Hepburn Adamson, which occurred at her home in Brown;s Flat, NB, on May 7, after many months of ill health.  She was 76 years of age.
     Mrs. Adamson was born in New Jerusalem, NB, a daughter of Mr and Mrs. Sam Beckett, where she lived until seven years ago.  She was a member of the Baptist Church, being active in Sunday School, Sewing Circle, Missionary Societies, and all organizations of church work until her passing to a better home.
     She is survived by two sons: Leland of Harvey, NB, and Herbert of Montreal, PQ.  Also surviving are a sister.  Mrs. Alice Short of Brown's Flat; five brothers: Edwin of Norton, Rev. Gordon of Moncton, Eldon of Brown's Flat, Humbert of Arlington, Mass, and Walter of Sudbury, Mass.. and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
    The funeral took place from Brown's Flat Baptist Church.  Rev. George Conway officiated, assisted by Rev. Morris Russell, who also sang a solo, "My Heavenly Father Watches Over Me" as a testimony of the deceased member.  Interment was in the adjoining cemetery. (#1,TJ,?/ 1961)

= Mrs. Gertrude Adamson, widow of Hepburn Adamson, d. at  Brown's Flats.  Funeral from the Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. J. Conway, assisted by Rev. Morris Russell. Pallbearers were nephews.  She was the d/o the late Mr & Mrs Samuel Beckett, b. in 1885 in New Jerusalem, where she was a member of the Baptist Church.  Survived by 2 sons: Leland, Harvey, NB and Herbert, Montreal. One sister, Alice Short, Brown's Flats; 5 brothers: Edwin, Norton; Rev. Gordon, Moncton; Eldon, Brown's Flat; Herbert, Arlington, MA, Walter A., Sudbury, MA; and several grandchildren. ADAMSON - Hepburn
= 1943 Jerusalem, b. at Millstream 62 yrs ago, living there until 1905.  He operated a saw and grist mill up to the time of  his death.  Survived by his wife, two sons: Leland & Herbert; sister Mrs. Frank Jewett of Saint John; one brother, Donald of  Fredericton, as well as a foster daughter, Mrs. J. W. Ogilvie, St John.  (Note:  He was buried at Lake Baptist Cemetery, in Jerusalem, later moved to Brown's Flats.) (#1,TJ,?)

ADAMSON - Herbert W.
= Unexpectedly in his 56th year at Rockville General Hospital on Friday, May 16, 1975, Herbert W. Adamson of Montreal, formerly of New Jerusalem, Queens County, NB.  Survived by his wife, Erma (Benvie), daughters, Faye (Mrs. L. Gibbons) and Ruby (Mrs. R. Funnell); three grandchildren, one brother Lee of Harvey Station. Funeral service was held in Montreal at White Chapel on Tuesday, May 20 with interment in Hawthorne Dale Cemetery.

ADAMSON - Lena (Mrs. Donald)
= Mrs. Donald Adamson, d. 16 Jul 1953 at her home, 18 Howe St, Lotting Park, Dartmouth, NS, after a brief illness.  She was formerly Lena Beckett, of New Jerusalem, and was in the 66th year of her life.  Survived by her husband, 2 daus, 2 sons, 2 sisters, 5 brothers, 6 grandchildren.  Funeral from her home Saturday. ADAMSON - Marguerite Elizabeth (Mrs. Leland)
= Unexpectedly at her home, Harvey Station, Dec. 9, 1975, Marguerite Elizabeth Adamson, wife of Leland Adamson; survived by her husband, two children, nine grandchildren, one brother and one sister, several nieces and nephews.
    Resting at her home until Thursday when service will be held in St Andrew's United Church at 2:30 p.m.  Interment in Harvey Cemetery. (#1,TJ,?)

ADAMSON - Marguerite Elizabeth (Mrs. Leland)
- The death of Mrs. Marguerite Adamson, wife of Leland Adamson, occurred unexpectedly at her home at Harvey Station at the age of 67. Born in Chatham, a daughter of the late Walter and Mildred (Hendry) Stapledon, she was a school teacher in Harvey Station and retired in 1960.
    She is survived by her husband, one son, Walter, Harvey; one daughter, Shirley of Toronto; one brother, Allan Stapledon of Marysville; one sister, Mrs. Helem McLeod, St Martins; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    The body rested at her home [line missing?] Andrews United Church where service was conducted by Rev. L.G. Todd, assisted by Rev. Joseph Beesley.  Pallbearers were Jack Allan, Jr and Earl Stapledon (nephews), Stephen Adamson (grandson), Gary Clark and Earle Grieve.
    Interment took place in the Harvey Community Cemetery.  A service was conducted at the home by the LOBA.  Many flora tributes were received as well as memorial cards to numerous organizations. (#1,TJ,?/Dec 1975)

Crash Claims Kings Youth - Sheffield
- Three Kings County youths were killed early Friday morning at Sheffield when their car left the highway and hit a tree. Patrick Thomas Huestis, 18, of Smith Creek, a passenger in the car, was taken to Oromocto Public Hospital and later transferred to Victoria Public Hospital in Fredericton.  A hospital spokesman described his condition as satisfactory.
    Dead are: James Robert Anderson, 19, and David Leonard Walker, 19 of Smith Creek, and William Lloyd [sic. Webb], 16, of Millstream.  All three are resting at Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex.
= James Robert Anderson, son of George and Edris (Chestnut) Anderson, is survived by his parents, one brother, four sisters, parental grandmother, maternal grandparents, one nephew, several uncles, aunts and cousins.
    The funeral will be Monday at 2 pm, with interment at Gosline Cemetery, Smith Creek.
= David Leonard Walker, son of Sydney and Laura (McKinnon) Walker, is survived by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, maternal grandmother, two nephews, one niece, and several cousins.
    The funeral will be at Monday at 3:30 pm, with interment at Riverbank Cemetery.
= William Lloyd Webb, son of Lloyd and Rita (Pearson) Webb, is survived by his parents, two sisters, paternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, five uncles, six aunts, and several cousins.
    The funeral will be held Monday at the Church of the Ascension, Apohaqui at 11 am, with interment at Riverbank

APPLEBY - Walter Theodore
= Hampstead, Queens County - Walter Theodore Appleby, 50, of Hampstead, Queens County, died suddenly last Sunday evening. (1973) He was the only son of Melbourne T. and the late Della (Hamilton) Appleby. He resided at Hampstead all his life and was employed by Transport Co, Service Battalion, CFB Gagetown for the past 18 years.  Mr. Appleby was active in his community and will be greatly missed.
    He is survived by his father; his wife, Greta (Clarkson) Appleby; four daughters, Linda and Deborah of Saint John, and
Anne and Janice at home; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Robertson of Saint John, Mrs. Wesley Slipp of Hampstead, and Mrs. Charles Short of Saint John and several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
    The body rested at Sherwood's Funeral Home, Norton. The funeral was held Wednesday at Central Baptist Church, Hampstead. Interment took place in the adjoining cemetery. (#1,TJ,?)

ARCHIBALD - Mabel E.
= Miss Mabel E. Archibald of 149 Broad St, a retired Baptist Missionary, d. Sunday morning in the General Hospital, Saint John. She was 84 yrs of age. Served for 42 yrs in India. Born in Bloomindale, Ill and in 1873 moved to the Maritimes. She retired in 1939 and became a resident of Saint John and member of  Germain St Baptist Church. She went to Chicacole, India in 1897 with her Uncle and Aunt Rev. & Mrs. I. C. Archibald, where she served most of her time.  She was the daughter of the late Rev. E.N. & Annie (Bradshaw) Archibald.  Surviving are 3 brothers; Rev. Dr. W. L.; Rev. A. J.; Rev. Dr. A. C.; all of whom are retired in India.  Body at Brenan's Funeral Home to Germain Street Baptist Church at 2:30. Body to be taken to the Baptist Church, Wolfville, NS, for burial in the adjoining Cemetery. (#1,TJ,?)
