The final picture we have of Thomas Binns is a snapshot taken at the end of his life. The background is probably that of the double log cabin in which he and Almira spent their married life. Obviously treasured because of its subject, we have no other snapshot of this roll. Gone is the carefully combed hair of his photographs, he is old and probably already ill of the Bright's disease which took his life.
