AMBROSE --------------------------- families (most of them) but the known families in Champaign are Frederick 1781-1849; Jacob 1784->1860; Cornelius 1841-1865. And probably some others that I've forgotten at the moment. The progenitor of these families died in Morgan Co., WV. Several of the children came to Ohio, including Clark, Champaign, Franklin, and Highland Counties----------------------------------------pasher@ee.net

APPLE, George --------------------------------------------------------was born in 1803 in Pa. and moved to St. Paris. His second wife was Rebecca unknown and they both died in St. Paris. CANADY Charles Moore ------------------------------He was originally born Moore on January 19, 1861 in Mechanicsburg, Champaign Co., OH. His father died in the Civil War and he was adopted by his maternal Grandfather and took the name of Canady. I'm looking for information on his Father and Mother, how and where his father died and is buried, and the name of his maternal grandparents who adopted him. HOR(R),Obed ------------------------ appeared on 1850 census of Mechanicsburg, Goshen Twp., Champaign Co., OH age 54, b MA. He was a Physician, value of property $31,400. He was father of Elizabeth Smith HOR(R) who md Price Washington MORRIS. His will was probated 28 Dec 1858. Where is he buried? Are there any descendants living in that area today? HUME, Hubbard --------------------------- b. 1822 in Berkeley Springs, Morgan Co. WVA moved with parents to Zanesville, OH at one year old. Need Parents names. They moved to Champaign Co. HUNTER, Nathaniel  ---------------------born 1768 in Ireland, entered Champaign Co. in 1811, moving to Salem Twp.  Married PORTER, Hester Ann.  Had 9 children: Mary Ann, Alexander St. Clair, Jane, Thomas, John, Nancy, Samuel, Sarah, Elizabeth.  Married again to WARD, Mary.  Had 2 children: Maria and Hester Ann.  Nathaniel died in 1841 and was buried in the Mt. Joseph b. 5 Sep 1777, Shenandoah Co, VA, moved to Champaign Co, OH circa 1810-1813, where the spelling of his name evolved to KIZER; d. 15 Feb 1886, Johnson Twp, Champaign Co, OH, buried in Kizer Cemetery. TOOMIRE, Mary Emma/Emily ------------------------ b. 1856 in Urbana, Guernsey Co., OH and her sister TOOMIRE, Clara P. b. 1853. Their father was Moses Toomire (1827 to 1857); mother Emma/Emily OWEN (1834 to 1882). Emma Owen remarried first Martin BLUE and later Edward Jones. WALHORN, Jacob-------------------------------------------- his wife Mary Scaggs and George Apple and his wife Rebecca Unknown. Jacob and Mary Walborn were from Pennsylvania, Jacob was born 1809 and died 4 Dec. 1868 in Auburn, In. Mary was born in 1814 and died 9 Jun 1890 in Auburn, In. They were dairy farmers in St. Paris for many years and founders and elders of the Lutheran Church there. Their daughter Lucinda ( b. 22 Sep. 1840, d. 22 Sep 1912) married George Apple 25 Jun 1857 in St. Paris. ------------------dan@blitz-it.net 

WEIDMAN....Abraham, b. 1778 in Berks County PA was the son of Johannes WEIDMAN (d.1819) and husband of Maria Catherine ANSPACH, b. 1780 in Champaign Co. OH. In 1833 Abraham and his fifteen children moved from WV to Champaign Co. OH where he died in 1838. He is buried, together with some of his children, in Fairview Cemetery, Logan Co.
