McDONALD Schooner NZ Wrecks Of 53 tons built at Auckland in 1869 capsized and foundered in the NW Kemp Channel Kaipara Harbour on 30th Sept 1876. The mate was drowned. STRUGGLER 1872 Ketch NZ Wrecks Of 30 tons built Huon River Tasmania in 1861 was stranded on nor th head Le Bons Bay Banks Peninsula on June 26th 1872. No lives were lost in the accident. STURT 1870 Paddle Steamer NZ Wrecks Of 157 tons built at Port Adelaide in 1856. Was stranded and became a total loss on the Kaiapoi Bar on 21September 1870. SUBRAON Wood Barque Wreck Book Of 510 tons she sank on 26th October 1848 at Wellington Heads due to pilot error. En route Wellington to Sydney with 40 passengers. No lives lost amongst the earthquake refugees from Wellington. SUBRAON 1848 Barque NZ Wrecks Of 510 tons was totally wrecked at the entrance to Wellington Harbour on 26th October 1848. no loss of life, whilst outward bound with 40 passengers for Sydney.
