Stoners Church
Located on a farm in Alamance County, on Bellemont-Kimesville Rd. just off
hwy 49.
Joyce Harrison called Jim Powell with the Stoners Cemetery Preservation
Committee
about the condition of the cemetery. He finally gave us permission to
clean it up. It turned
out to be much to big a job for us and he promised he would have the county crew
clean it
up as soon as the frost had killed the weeds.
Joyce, her husband and daughter, my husband and me with 3 of our grandsons and
Paul
Holt spent all day cutting and hauling weeds and hardly made a dent it it.
I am sorry to say that neither of us have had the time this summer to get down
there and
check on it.. We are going to try as soon as the ground dries up a bit.. It has
rained to much to
try to get out into the pasture in a car.
These picture's were taken at three different times and there are some
duplicates here and some that
that were missed altogether. Some are when the weeds were high and others after
they were cut,
if you find any errors or know the dates on any I could not read please let me
know.
