R. P. Parler.

State and County aforesaid,
Kitsy
Tart
, age 79
,years, and a resident at
Rt. D. # 2 Benson
post-office in said County and State, and who being duly sworn,
makes the following declaration in order to obtain the pension under the provisions of an
act entitled "An Act
to amend and consolidate the pension laws of the State of North Carolina,"
ratified March 8, 1921; that she
is the widow of the late W.
B. Tart, Sr.
who enlisted in Co. E , 24 th
Regiment North Carolina State Troops,
on or about the 1st
day of March
, 186 3 , to serve in the armies
of the late Confederate States. She further states:
That she was married to said Soldier or Sailor before the first day of
January, 1880;
That she is now a widow, and has been for twelve months immediately
preceding this Application for
Pension, a bona fide resident of North Carolina;
That she holds no office under the United States, or under any State or
county, from which she is receiv-
ing the sum of three hundred dollars as fees or as salary annually;
That she is not worth in her own right, or the right of her late
husband, property at its assessed value for
taxation to the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000), nor has she disposed of property
of such value by gift
or voluntary conveyance since the 11th of March, 1885.
And that she is not now receiving any aid from the State of North
Carolina or under an other stature pro-
viding for the relief of the maimed and blind soldiers of this or any other State.
The
applicant Kitsey Tart conditions is
such that she can not be off of
her
bed and have not been able to
be up
for 3 or 4 months and is not
able to
go before the County Pension
board.

under the provisions of an act entitled "An Act to amend and consolidate the pension
laws of the State of North
Carolina, for the relief of certain Confederate Soldiers, Sailors, and Widows,"
ratified March 8,1921,
and the proofs filed in support thereof; that we are satisfied that the said
Kitsey Tart
is the widow of the late W.
B. Tart, Sr.
who
enlisted in Company
E , 24
Regiment of North Carolina State Troops, on or about the
1 day of March
186 3 . We certify the following allegations set forth in her
application to be true, namely: That she is now
a widow; that she is, and has been for twelve months immediately preceding this
Application for Pension, a
bona fide resident of North Carolina; that she holds no office under the United
States, or under any State or
County, from which she is receiving the sum of three hundred dollars as fees or as salary
annually; that she
is not worth in her own right, or the right of her late husband; property at its assessed
value for taxation to
the amount of two thousand dollars ($2,000), nor has she disposed of property of
such value by gift or vol-
untary conveyance since the 11th of March, 1885, and therefore her application is correct
and just under
the act.

Pension board for Pension.
Her conditions is such that She
is not able to go before te board
has been confined to her bed for
nearly 4 months and part of the
time is almost helpless as a baby.
