Jane DOCKENDORFF was born 25 April 1804 in Bristol, Lincoln County, Maine, daughter of Solomon DOCKENDORFF and Jane YATES (daughter of George James YATES and Nancy RICHARDS). It was through her brother, Solomon, that she met Alexander Bissett MUNRO, whom she married 16 September 1824 in Waldoboro, Maine. She was the mother of fourteen children.

      Jane DOCKENDORFF MUNRO died 14 Oct 1865 in Bristol, Maine, and is buried in the cemetery at Round Pond.

     Edward H. DOCKENDORFF was born in Burlington, Maine about 1841, son of Jacob DOCKENDORFF and his wife "Lucinda" (or "Seneda"). He was a member of Company A, 1st Maine Infantry.

     Edward married Nancy COCHRAN, daughter of Alexander; they had at least five children - Clarence (b. ca 1867), Addy (or Abby) (b. ca. 1868), Walter (b ca. 1874), Mary (b. ca 1879) and Samuel Hadley (b ca. 1883).

     Edward died in Everett, Washington on 7 January 1912, and is buried in the G. A. R. Cemetery in Snohomish.
