The 1944 History of Holy Trinity Church listed 44 "boys of our school" who fought in the Civil War. In addition, there was one name written in the margin of the page where the list appeared. I also found four more names in the Holy Trinity Church records.
I'm planning to use Civil War resources to find the service records of these men and include that information on this page. For now, however, here is a list of the names I've located:

The name written in the margin of the copy of the history I examined was - "GEISLER, Franz - d Vicksburg 19 July 1862".
From a CIVIL WAR webpage. I learned the following about Anton STEFFENS (see list above) - Cpl. Anton STEFFENS, Company C, Massachusetts 20th Regiment; died at Fredericksburg, 11 Dec 1862.
The names of four participants in the Civil War were discovered in the Burial Records (1862-1863) of Holy Trinity Parish.
Three of the above names are listed in the "Boys of our school" list; Laurenz GEISLER may be the "Franz GEISLER" whose name was written in the margin of the 1944 History. If Franz and Laurenz are the same person, he'd be far too old (at 53, if I read the church record correctly) to be one of the "boys of our school".
In any case, this page represents only the beginning of my research. If you can add more names OR suggest resources I can check - DO let me know!
