James Moore of Lee Co., VA

James Moore born about 1800 in Va., died 1878 in Lee Co. Va. James is possibly the son of James Moore Sr. listed in 1830 Hawkins Co. Tn. Census. James Moore was married to Nancy Gibson born about 1805 and died after 1880 in Lee Co. Va. Nancy is possibly the daughter of Charles Gibson Sr. listed 1830 Hawkins Co. Tn. census and the minutes of the Stoney Creek Primitive Baptist Church, in Scott Co. Va., 1801-1814.

• There may be other children.

James Moore ( sometimes spelled More or Moor) was listed on Hawkins and Hancock Co. census records as "FPC". He moved his family into Lee Co. Va., along with some of the Gibson families, right before the Civil War began. His daughters Lourinda and Lovist are my ggrandmothers.
