DIRECTIONS
From Birchleaf, VA take route 670 across the Russell Fork about 3.5 miles to where it meets route 671. Go left on 671 and immediately take a right (after the bridge) in front of a house. Pass this house even though it seems like a driveway and continue on, following the other side of the creek until you get to where it bends as does the creek and the graveyard is in the stand of trees. Note that the owner of the house and trailer nearby is the property owner and it is best to ask permission to enter.

FIELD NOTES: 11/23/98
This cemetery is small, shady and inviting. It is kept up by Malissa Sutherland who lives nearby and is the daughter of Eli Sutherland who is buried there. While she is pleasant and helpful, I cannot stress enough that this is a very family site and private. Please make use of the list below rather than disturb the grounds unless absolutely necessary.
