Sarah Nichols MRS. WAYNE NICHOLS

  SINGLEHOUSE, Pa. -- Mrs. Sarah I. Nichols, 92, of Route 44 died Sunday (Aug. 4, 1985) in her home after a short illness.

  Born March 31, 1893, in Ellisburg, she was a daughter of Volney and Myrtle Barlow Stannard. On March 31, 1917, in Shinglehouse, she married Wayne Nichols, who predeceased her Feb. 13, 1967.

  Mrs. Nichols was a member of the United Methodist Church of Shinglehouse.   Surviving are a son, Hollis Nichols of Singlehouse; two daughters, Ann Nichols of Limestone, N.Y., and Kate Nichols of Singlehouse; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Dell Stannard of Bolivar, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. John (Gertrude) Scott of Shinglehouse; and several nieces and nephews.

  She was predeceased by a son, George (Mike) Nichols.

  Friends may call at the Nichols homestead, Route 44, Shinglehouse, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Tuesday (Aug. 6, 1985) at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dennis Cornelius, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Shinglehouse, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Shinglehouse.

  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
