MRS. IRA BIXBY

After an illness of several years of a complication of disease, finally resulting in tuberculosis, Mrs. Ira Bixby died Monday evening in their home in this boro. She was a great sufferer.

Lou Nichols was born in Sharon township, June 16, 1871 and had always resided there until they moved here last Dec. On January 17, 1893 she was united in marriage to Ira Bixby. She was a good women, dutiful daughter, kind and loving wife and mother and held in high esteem in the community where she lived. She was a member of the U. E. church and Sharon Grange. Besides the sorrowing husband and two children, Lee Bixby of Mt. Jewett and Miss Dollie Bixby of this boro, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lydia Nichols, one sister, Mrs. M. J. Lewis and three brothers, Arad, Benjamin and Earl Nichols, all of Shinglehouse.

The funeral will be held at the house at two o'clock Thursday, Rev. Walter Dynes officiating. The interment will be made in Maple Grove cemetery.
