I have his Rev. War records, his pension records, and his will. AARON m. RUTH BARNETT in Richmond, GA. His son was HUGH BARNETT MCWHORTER (b. in SC). HUGH B. had a son, WILLIAM BARNETT MCWHORTER (b. 1827 in TN). From WILLIAM on down to me, I have proof. But I cannot find out who HUGH BARNETT MCWHORTER was married to and when. I do not know where he lived after he left SC. Since his son was born in TN, he was at least there. WILLIAM was m. in Carroll co., GA and ended up in Sevier co., AR. The problem is that AARON’s brother, JERAMIAH, also named his son HUGH BARNETT MCWHORTER. I have to have marriage licenses, wills, census, or Bible records about my HUGH BARNETT MCWHORTER to get into the DAR. A copy of the Bible records of AARON or HUGH would help greatly. I need to find out where HUGH was married and to whom and when and where he died. I would appreciate any proof anyone can get for me. I am at a brick wall with HUGH.
