Looking for information on the ancestors of my great grandmother,
ALICE MCWHORTER, who married GEORGE D. H. GLASS in Ohio. ALICE was born 16-Apr-1861, the first of nine
children of JAMES B. and JANE HARRISON MCWHORTER. A cousin has sent me
a transcription of several articles from Clinton co., OH newspapers (June 1863) concerning
a JOHN MCWHORTER who shot and
killed a Mr. Babb. JOHN was
subsequently shot to death in the streets of Wilmington, apparantly an act of revenge.
Does anyone have any information on this? Could JOHN have been ALICEs
