 The
McWh*rter Database is a
collection and compilation of the efforts of dozens of McWh*rter researchers and
descendants. It is maintained on computer using Brothers
Keeper, a shareware genealogy program.As the McWh*rter Database has grown to over 34,500 individuals the number of unconnected McWh*rter families has grown as well. There are now over 640 unconnected families in the Database, as well as hundreds of other individuals not as yet connected to any family. This Family Profiles section of the website has been constructed to aid researchers in finding the right family and to help foster family consolidations. Over time each of the unconnected families in the McWh*rter Database will be outlined, providing basic information on the earliest recognized ancestor and including a list of current researchers working on each family branch and the results of ongoing DNA testing relating to each branch. An index of the various families included in the McWh*rter Database is provided below. You can reach the Family Profile for each family by clicking on the appropriate links in the index.
