25 January 2007
Dear Clan Member
This is a reminder and final invitation for you and your family to come to Rutherglen Victoria at Easter for the Mackinlay/Barr Clan gathering, Sat 7th April - Sun 8th April 2007.
All descendants of George Mackinlay (1818-1902) and Martha Barr (1830-1911) are called to gather together at Rutherglen.
The main venue for the reunion will be the Rutherglen Bowls Club/Apex Park. The program for the reunion is set out on the next page. Forms for registration and bookings for the Clan dinner are enclosed. Please fill these out a.s.a.p. to help us with the arrangements (return by 1 March at the latest please).
It would be great to have some recent (or older) photos, certificates, articles, etc of your family to display at the reunion and to put into the Family Memorabilia albums, so please remember to bring these to the reunion (with names/dates please). Certificates don't have to be originals - photocopies are quite okay.
Souvenirs we will have at the reunion: "
Mackinlay Reunion Port (a special bottling of a liqueur port from Chambers Wines - $15) "
Mackinlay Badge $2 "
Clan Book with Family Tree details - cost to be finalised (approx $10)
Please indicate on the registration form any of these you might be interested in to help us with orders.
Email - Could you please send me your email address (to [email protected]), if you haven't done so already. Using email for letters, etc. will be a very big saving on our mailing costs.
Rutherglen attractions - wineries, olives, brewery, lake, scenic walks, playgrounds (Apex Park), golf, museums & historic buildings, etc. (Rutherglen visitors site: www.rutherglenvic.com)
Hoping you are able to attend the reunion and looking forward to meeting up again.
Yours sincerely
Malcolm Mackinlay - on behalf of the reunion organisers

For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we'll take a cup o' kindness yet, for auld lang syne.
And there's a hand my trusty friend ! And gie'us a hand o' thine ! We'll take a right good-will draught, for auld lang syne.
CHORUS
