The original Will is filed in Chancery File 609 and is recorded in Book 5, pages 31 & 32, Marshall County, MS Know all men by these presents that I, Rix Perry of the County of Marshall in the state of Mississippi being fully impressed with the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death have this day made by last Will and testament as follows. 1st. I give to my daughter Jinnevier A. H. Hayley a certain negro boy by the name of Brown aged about seventeen years. Also I give to Larkin J. W. Perry a certain boy the name of Hilliard aged about thirteen years. Also I give to John R. S. Perry a certain negro boy by the name of Jefferson aged about nine or ten years. Also I give to my youngest daughter Martha A. R. Perry a certain negro girl by the name of Cherry Tom, aged about eleven years. The remainder of my negro property together with my stock and farming utensils I wish to be sold and two hundred dollars of the proceeds to be given to John R. S. Perry. Also One hundred and fifty dollars to be given to my youngest daughter Martha A. R. Perry. The remainder of the proceeds I wish to be applied to the payment of my just debts and the balance if there is any left to be equally divided among the legatees.
