The marriage of Miss Ethel Pearce to Mr. W. L. Hayley on Wednesday of this week, at the residence of the bride's parents Mrs. and Mrs. H. D. Pearce was a great surprise to the many friends of the popular bride. Rev. G. C. Berryman of Robert Lee performed the ceremony, in a most impressive manner, only the immediate members of the bride's family and a brother of the groom being present. The bride is one of Ballinger's best and most intelligent young ladies, and is a jewel worth the best efforts of a manly man. Mr. Hayley the happy groom, is a prosperous, drug merchant of Robert Lee, who has many warm friends who wish him every happiness. Marriage Announcement of
W.B Hamilton and Byrde Viola Pearce

Last Wednesday at the home of the bride, Judge T. T. Crosson spoke the words which made W. B. Hamilton and Miss Byrde Viola Pearce man and wife. The ceremony was performed at 11 a.m. and at high noon a sumptious feast awaited them. None but relatives were present and no invitations were sent out Miss Pearce is one of Ballinger's most deserving girls and by her lady-like conduct she has made many friends who will always wish her well. Mr. Hamilton is a prominent young business man of Dublin, Texas, and will no doubt make a deserving husband. The bride and groom left Thursday afternoon for Dublin where they will make their future home. The Banner-Leader extends congratulations and best wishes both bride and groom much happiness as they journey down life's pathway together. (W. B. RANKIN-PEARCE

Mr. J. A. Rankin and Miss Martha Pearce, both of this city were married Wednesday afternoon at 7 o'clock while seated in a buggy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Schooler near Edith. Rev. J. C. Johnson of the Baptist church spoke the ceremony, that united them for life. The happy couple left Thursday for Ballinger to spend a few days and from there they will go to the Worlds Fair at St. Louis. The bride was one of our most popular young ladies and has many firends who love her for her loving disposition and traits of true young womanhood. She is the sister of banker H. H. Pearce and sister of Mrs. W. B. Hamilton. The groom is a rising young business man of this city and holds the prominent position of Bookkeeper for the Robert Lee Gin. He has only been in Robert Lee about a year but by his manly dealing and moral life has made many friends who wish for himself and fair young bride all the joys of life without a cloud.
