OBITUARY OF MRS. MOLLIE MURCHISON Source unknown A GOOD WOMAN GONE (1908) Our entire citizenship was grieved last Monday on learning of the death of Mrs. Mollie Murchison, wife of A. T. Murchison, which sad event occured about 10 o'clock Sunday night at her home in this city. Mrs. Murchison had been in ill health several years but owing to her great will power she had held up nobly until Saturday when she began to grow worse and continued so until Sunday night when the spirit of this good woman was called to its reward. She was married to A.T. Murchison in the year of 1881 at Cedartown, Georgia, her maiden name being Miss Prior. From this union nine children were born, six of whom survive her as follows: Linton H., J.W., Fred, Jennie, Mary E., and Annie. Funeral services were held at 3:15 o'clock Monday evening at the M.E. church, where a large concourse of friends and relatives gathered to pay their last respects to the memory of this Christian life. Her pastor, Rev J. R. Wages, preached the services, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery. We join the many friends of the bereaved in extending our sympathy.
