Book HH, 1790-1794, Pages 211-212 This Indenture Made this twenty third day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight Between James Foster of the County of Abbervill and State of South Carolina of the one part and Joseph Moore of the County of Wilkes and State of Georgia of the other part Witnesseth that the said James Foster hath Bargained sold and delivered By there presents doth bargain sell and deliver and set over Confirm unto the said Joseph Moore A certain Tract of land situateing and being in the County of Wilkes & State of Georgia on the North fork of Vans Creek for and in consideration of the sum of fifty pounda Sterling to him in hand Paid the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Butted and bounded as follows (to will) Beginning on a Black oak on Robcrt Taylors line thence ;/45 W. 2;/50 Dogwood thence N 45 W 6.50 to a black oak Corner thence 1.45 W. 18.50 to a pine thence N 45 W 17.50 Ch to a hickory Corner on Jacob Hambletons line thence N 9 E 26 Ch to a hickory Corner thence N. 81 U 19 ch to a black oak thenceN 9 E 20 ch to a B. 0. Corner thence S 81. E. 50 Ch to a hickory Corner thence 5 37 E 44.30 Ch to the Begining including Two hundred acres be the same More or less with the Reversion or Revers~ons Remainder or Remainders Rents Isue profits & services to the only proper use I behoof of the said Joseph Moore hisheirs and asigns forever to have and to nold the said Bargained Land and Premises free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever and from the Lawful Claimor Claims of him the said James Foster his heirs Executors or asigns and from the lawful Claim or Claims of all and every other person watsoever and that the said James Foster will forever warrant and defend the same with every part and parcel ther of with all singular the Improvements and advantages that now is on a May here after over to the said Joseph Moore his heirs and asigns forever In witness whereof he hath herunto set his hand and seal the day and date above mentioned.
