Witnesseth that the said Mary McAlpin Wm McAlpin and his wife Nancy McAlpin hathBargained and sold and do by these presents Bargain and sell unto James Banks a certain tract of land lying and being in the County of Elbert and State aforesaid, lying on and in the River Savannah supsed to be one hundred and twenty eight acres on the shore and fifteen acres in the two Islands Ten in the lower and five in the upper Island containing in the whole one hundred and forty three for and in consideration of the sum one thousand Dollars to them in hand the Receipt whereoff we do hereby that it doth discharge and acquit the James Banks his Heirs Adms and (to wit) Beginning at a Beach River thence running south 51 west and x thence North 20 East Water Oak River then down the meanders of the River to the Beginning & including the hands as above mentioned Including one and forty three acres Bounded by and the said Bank on every side and more or les with all the Improvements or Improvients the Rents profits appertaining with tract or parcell for the use of the said James Banks his Heirs and assigns forever To have and to hold the said and we the said Mary McAlpin Wm McAlpin and his wife Nancy McAlpin do forever our Heirs and assigns do warrant forever defend from them all other persons whatsoever to the proper use and of the said James Banks his heirs assigns foever with the therunto west belonging to tract or parcell of land clear off hereafter James Banks his Heirs and assigns the said tract or parcell of land and where of hereunto set our hand and affixed the day and state first above written with the following words before State, part, wife deliveries in presents off McAlpin JP Mary McAlpin (seal) Coleman Colbert William A McAlpin (seal) Peeler Nancy X McAlpin (seal) Allen JP Recorded April the 5th 1808
