Marriage Bond of Henry Haley & Letitia Hyde
| Know all men by these presents that we Henry Haley & Eon Fisher are held and firmly bound unto our Sovereign Lord the King in the full and just sum of fifty pounds Current money of Virginia to which payment will and truly to be made to the said Lord the King his heirs viz we bind ourselves and each of our heirs jointly and severally by them presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 28 Day of May 1770. The Condition of the above obligation is Just that whearas there is a marriage Solemnly intended to be between the above bounty Henry Haley and Lettisha Hyde daughter of Milly Hyde, Now if there are no lawful cause to object the said marriage then the above obligation to be void or else remain in Sealed & Delivered Henry Haley (seal) Eon Fisher (seal) Brunswick Moses Johnson this day maketh oath before me a magistrat for the county of Brunswick that Letitia Hyde of the Province of No Carolina is at this time twenty two years old given under my hand the 28th day of May 1770.
