James H. Haley Mary Doram & others To John Peebles This Indenture made the 7th day of August In the year of our Lord One Thousnd eight hundred and Twenty Eight, between James H. Haley, Nathaniel Dunn, and his wife Mary Dunn and Mary Doram, all of the County of Wake & State of North Carolina and Samuel Harris Jr, and his wife Letisha Harris of the County of Franklin, and State aforesaid fo the first part, and John Peebles of the County of Wake State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth. That the said James H. Haley, Nathaniel Dunn 7 wife Mary, Samuel Harris & wife Letisha, and Mary Doram the widow of Richard H. Haley decd. who was the father of the said James, Mary & Letisha for and in consideration of the sum of four hundre and Eight Dollard, to them the said James H. Haley, Nathaniel Dunn, wife Mary, Samuel Harris & wife Letisha, and Mary Doram, late Mary Haley hat given granted, bargained & sold to him the said John Peebles, the following tracts of Lands. Towit, lying and being in the County of Wake & Sate of North Carolina, on the waters of Powell Creek and on both sides of the Stage Road from Raleigh to Lewisburg, bounded as follows (Towit) One tract which descended to Samuel Harris Jr in right of his wife Letisha from her ancestor Richrd H. Haley is bounded as follows (Towit) Beginning at Stake on Barry Kings line, thence nort one Hundred & Ninety poles to a stake, in Arthur Walls line then west along said Walls line Sixty poles to a pine, in George Stells Line, thence South one Hundred and Ninety poles to a white ash on the line of the widows Doram thence along said Dower line, to the Beginning containing Sixty Six & 2/3 acres, more or less. The other Tract is situated & bounded as follows, towit Beginning at a pine stump in F. Ealls line, then North Eight Six poles to a stake. Berry Kings line, thence west along Newsom Watkins & George Fitts line One hundred & Twenty poles to a pine thence South Eight Six poles to a Hickory on F Ezells line, thence East to the Beginning containing Sixty Six & 2/3 acres more or less. It being the Dower Tract of the late Richard H. Haley decd assigned to Mary Doram. (lat Mary Haley who sells her right of Dower the other Legatees. TowitJames H. Haley, Nathaniel Dun, & wife Mary & Samuel Harris, Jr & wife Letisha sells to the said John Peebles their eight and their their remaining Interest of said Tracts of Land both as regard the Dower Tract & the other which descended to them from their ancestor Richard H Haley decd in the two tracts above described to have and to hold the said tracts of Land with the apperterances thereunto belonging to him the said John Peeble to him his heirs & assigns forever to the only proper use behoof of him the said John Peeble and the said Mary Doram, James H. Haley, Nathaniel Dunn & wife Mary & Samuel Harris and his wife Letisha for themselves & their heirs doth further consecrate and forever warrant the eight and titles of all and was part of the said Land & tenements and all the appertencures, therewith belonging as far as their respective interest extends in the said land to him the said John Peeples, his heirs & assigns forever and they do further warrant the right and title of said lands against the claim or claims of all person or persons whatsoever, to have the said John Peebles, his heirs & assigns.
