John FRAME was born in about 1720 at Lancaster Co, PA. In 1740 he lived in Augusta Co, VA where he moved with his parents. He married Margaret (--?--) He died 1750 Augusta Co, VA.
The christening dates come from the diary of Rev. John Craig. He ministered to both Tinkling Springs and Augusta Stone Church. the diary does not say which church the christenings took place in, however as the John Frame property was near the old stone church, we are thinking it was there. Also.... According to the Vestery Records, after John died it was the old stone church assisting the widow Frame to support her children. That is another reason we think it was there the christenings took place. This support began 6 Aug 1750. - Ron Frame |
William FRAME was born in Augusta County, VA where he was christened 8 September 1745. He was the son of John FRAME and Margaret (--?--). He married Sarah GIBSON daughter of David GIBSON and Ann Elizabeth STEWART about 1770 probably in Augusta Co, VA. By 1786 he had moved his family to Fayette Co, KY, probably at Fort Boonesborough. He is listed in the Tax Lists as William, Sr. About 1807 the family moved to Lincoln Co, TN. Known children of William and Sarah
Sarah must have died sometime before William as she is not mentioned in any of the estate records. In November 1812 we find an inventory of the personal property of William Frame, deceased, of Lincoln Co, TN. John Fraim and William Fraim were among the buyers of his personal property at his estate sale held 27 Feb 1813. William Frame, administrator of the Estate of William, deceased, was allowed $60 by the court on 6 Feb 1814 for expenses as the administrator of "his father's estate." The court appointed John Frame and others to settle the estate of William, deceased, of which William Frame was the administrator on 6 Aug 1814. It is not known where William and Sarah are buried. |
