I joined Children of the American Revolution when I was a child. After I was married in 1951 I became a member of the Mary Tyler Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

My first line was Col. Isaac Preston of NJ and I have supplemental lines for John Brockman, SC; James Dobbins, SC; James Haley, VA; Henry Hayley, VA; Joseph Moore, GA; Samuel Peden, SC; Isaac Preston, Jr, NJ.

Hoyt applied for membership in the SAR
in May 2002 .
with Maximillian Berryman, Virginia,
as his Patriot.
His papers went through in a record eight weeks.
Hoyt was the first person to prove him a Patriot.
