                    He immigrated to York Co., VA. He resided at
                    Gloucester Co., VA. He was a member of the House
                    of Burgesses in 1652 at Virginia. He and Jane
                    resided in 1675 at East Greenwich, Kent, England.
                    He left a will in 1689; proved 1691.
               iii. William Willis resided at Virginia.
                iv. Grace Willis; m. ___ Feilder.

     5.         ii. Col. Henry Willis, b. 1691; m. Ann Alexander; m.
                    Mildred Howell; m. Mildred Washington.


                     Generation Four

4.  Col. Francis Willis (Francis3, Henry2, ___1); b. 1690 at Ware
River Parish, Gloucester Co., VA; m. Anne Rich, daughter of Edward
Rich, 1715.
     He resided at 'White Hall', Gloucester Co., VA. He was a member
of the House of Burgesses in 1748 at Virginia. He was living in 1749.

     Anne Rich was born in 1695. She died on 10 Jun 1727 at Ware River
Parish, Gloucester Co., VA. She was buried at Ware Church, Gloucester
Co., VA.
     Known children of Col. Francis Willis and Anne Rich were as
follows:
                 i. Col. Francis Willis; b. circa 1717; m. Elizabeth
                    Carter, daughter of Robert Carter II and Priscilla
                    Churchill, 30 Sep 1742 at Abingdon Parish,
                    Gloucester Co., VA; d. 1797.
                    He resided at 'White Hall', Gloucester Co., VA.
     6.         ii. Mary Willis, b. 1718; m. Lewis Burwell.
               iii. John Willis; b. 1719; d. 1766.

5.  Col. Henry Willis (Francis3, Henry2, ___1); b. 1691; m. Ann
Alexander; 1st wife, 2nd husband; m. Mildred Howell; 2nd wife, 2nd
husband; m. Mildred Washington, daughter of Lawrence Washington and
Mildred Warner, 1733; 3rd wife, 2nd husband; d. 1740.
     He resided at Fredericksburg, VA.

     Ann Alexander married John Smith; 1st husband.

     Mildred Howell married ___ Brown; 1st husband.

     Mildred Washington married John Lewis, son of Capt. Edward Lewis
and Susanna; 1st husband. She married Col. Roger Gregory; 2nd husband.
She and Col. Roger Gregory had 3 children.
     Known children of Col. Henry Willis and Mildred Washington include:
     7.          i. Col. Lewis Willis, b. "11-11-1734" at 'Willis Fork',
                    Fredericksburg, VA; m. Mary Champe.


                     Generation Five

6.  Mary Willis (Francis4, Francis3, Henry2, ___1); b. 1718; m. Lewis
Burwell, son of Hon. Nathaniel Burwell and Elizabeth Carter, 1736; 2nd
wife; d. 1746.
     She and Lewis Burwell resided at 'Whitemarsh', Gloucester Co.,
VA.

     Lewis Burwell was born in 1710. He was President of Council at
Virginia. He resided at 'Carter's Creek', Gloucester Co., VA. He
married Anne Holden; 1st wife. He married Frances in 1745; 3rd wife,
2nd husband. He was Governor under the Crown in 1750 at Virginia. He
died before Mar 1752.

7.  Col. Lewis Willis (Henry4, Francis3, Henry2, ___1); b.
"11-11-1734" at 'Willis Fork', Fredericksburg, VA; m. Mary Champe; 1st
wife; m. Anne Byrd Carter, daughter of Col. Charles Carter and Anne
Byrd; 2nd husband, 2nd wife; m. Elizabeth; 3rd wife; d. 15 Jan 1813 at
Virginia.
     He resided at 'Willis Fork', Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania Co.,
VA. He and Mary Champe resided at King George Co., VA. He and Mary
Champe resided at 'Willis Hill', Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania Co., VA.
He and Mary Champe had 5 children.

     Known children of Col. Lewis Willis and Mary Champe include:
                 i. Mildred Washington Willis; m. Landon Carter, son
                    of Col. Charles Carter and Anne Byrd, 1772; 1st
                    wife; d. 1778.

     Anne Byrd Carter married John Champe Jr. in 1762; 1st husband.
She died in 1804.
