                      Generation One

1.  William Throope; b. circa 1637/38; m. Mary Chapman, daughter of
Ralph Chapman and Lydia Wills, 14 May 1666 at Barnstable, MA; d. 4 Dec
1704 at Bristol, RI.
     He resided at Barnstable, MA. He was a surveyor. He resided in
1681 at Bristol, RI. He left a will on 12 Jun 1704; proved 1 Jan
1704/5.

     Mary Chapman was born on 31 Oct 1643. She died after 1732.
     Known children of William Throope and Mary Chapman were as
follows:
                 i. Mary Throope; b. 6 Apr 1667 at Barnstable, RI; m.
                    John Barney, son of Rev. Jacob Barney Jr. and Ann
                    Witt, 4 Nov 1686 at Bristol, RI; d. after 1728.
                    She and John Barney had 7 children.
                ii. Daniel Throope; b. 1670 at Barnstable, MA; m.
                    Dorcas Barney, daughter of Rev. Jacob Barney Jr.
                    and Ann Witt, 23 Aug 1689 at Bristol, RI; 1st
                    wife; m. Deborah Macey 5 Jan 1697/98 at Bristol,
                    RI; 2nd wife; m. Deborah Church, daughter of
                    Joseph Church and Mary Tucker, 21 Jan 1712/13 at
                    Little Compton, RI; 3rd wife, 2nd husband; d. 3
                    Dec 1737 at Lebanon, CT.
                    He and Dorcas Barney had 3 children. He and
                    Deborah Macey had 4 children. He and Deborah
                    Church had 2 children.
               iii. Elizabeth Throope; m. Jonathan Peck, son of
                    Nicholas Peck Esq. and Rebecca Bosworth, 31 Mar
                    1695 at Bristol, RI; d. 14 Jun 1729.
                    She and Jonathan Peck had 8 children.
     2.         iv. John Throope, b. 1676 at Barnstable, MA; m.
                    Rebecca Smith; m. Susannah.
                 v. Capt. William Throope; b. circa 1679/80 at
                    Barnstable, MA; m. Martha Cobleigh, daughter of
                    John Cobley and Mary Bosworth, 20 Mar 1698/99 at
                    Bristol, RI; d. 3 Feb 1737/38 at Lebanon, CT.
                    He resided at Lebanon, CT. He and Martha Cobleigh
                    had 9 children. He left a will on 27 Dec 1737;
                    proved 16 Feb 1737/38.
     3.         vi. Thomas Throope, b. 4 Sep 1681; m. Abigail; m.
                    Ziporah Mann.
               vii. Mercy/Mary Throope; baptized Jun 1684 at
                    Barnstable, MA.
              viii. Lidiah Throope; b. 15 Jul 1686 at Bristol, RI; m.
                    Eleazer Cary, son of John Cary Jr. and Abigail
                    Allen, 1700 at Bristol, RI.
                    She and Eleazer Cary had 7 children.

2.  John Throope (William1); b. 1676 at Barnstable, MA; m. Rebecca
Smith 26 Nov 1697 at Bristol, RI; 1st wife; m. Susannah 9 Oct 1732;
int., 2nd wife, 2nd husband; d. 25 Jan 1772 at Bristol, RI.
     He resided at Bristol, RI. He left a will on 12 Apr 1762; proved
3 Feb 1772.

     Rebecca Smith died on 19 Dec 1731 at Bristol, RI.
     Known children of John Throope and Rebecca Smith all b. at
Bristol, RI, were as follows:
                 i. John Throope; b. 24 Jan 1698; d. before 27 May
                    1716; unmarried.
     4.         ii. Ann Throope, b. 27 Dec 1699; m. Cornelius Waldron.
               iii. Rev. Amos Throope; b. 28 Mar 1702; m. Frances
                    Davis, daughter of Simon Davis and Ann Low, 7 Jan
                    1724/25 at Bristol, RI; 1st husband; d. before 22
                    Sep 1736 at Woodstock, CT; d. before 1 Feb 1737
                    at Woodstock, CT.
                    He and Frances Davis had 7 children.
                iv. Mary Throope; b. 9 Sep 1704; m. Joseph Marcy 31
                    May 1728 at Bristol, RI; d. after 8 Apr 1746 at
                    prob. Woodstock, CT.
                    She and Joseph Marcy resided at Woodstock, CT. She
                    and Joseph Marcy had 10 children.
                 v. Hester/Esther  Throope; b. 31 Dec 1706; m. Thomas
                    Kempton 15 Oct 1730 at Bristol, RI; d. before 12
                    Apr 1762.
                vi. Rebecca Throope; b. 1707; m. Ebenezer Lyon, son of
                    William Lyon and Deborah Colburn, 8 Mar 1731/32 at
                    Bristol, RI; d. 1801.
                    She and Ebenezer Lyon had 5 children.
               vii. Lydia Throope; b. 15 Mar 1713/14.
              viii. John Throope II; b. 27 May 1716; m. Phebe Hall 6
                    Oct 1739; int., 1st wife; m. Sarah by 1753; m.
                    Elizabeth Cole, daughter of Isaiah Cole and
                    Eleanor Nichols, 2 Aug 1784; 3rd wife, 2nd
                    husband; d. 2 Dec 1802 at Bristol, RI, at age 86.
                    He resided at Bristol, RI. He and Phebe Hall had 1
                    child. He and Sarah had 1 child. He and Elizabeth
                    Cole had 1 child.
                    He left a will on 14 Mar 1796; proved 6 Jan 1803.
                ix. Ebenezer Throope; b. 25 Nov 1718; d. 10 Aug 1736
                    at Bristol, RI, at age 17.

     Susannah was born circa 1683. She married ___ Taylor; 1st
husband. She died on 13 Oct 1768 at Bristol, RI.

3.  Thomas Throope (William1); b. 4 Sep 1681; baptized 17 Sep 1683 at
Barnstable, MA; m. Abigail by 1703; 1st wife; m. Ziporah Mann 7 Apr
1742; 2nd wife; d. 18 Sep 1756 at Bristol, RI, at age 75.
     He resided at Bristol, RI. He and Abigail had 7 children. He left
a will on 3 May 1754; proved 4 Oct 1756.

     Abigail died in Jul 1740 at Bristol, RI.
     Known children of Thomas Throope and Abigail include:
     5.          i. Thomas Throope Jr, b. 26 May 1710 at Bristol, RI;
                    m. Mary Billings.

     Ziporah Mann was born in 1681. She resided at Wrentham, MA. She
died on 25 Jan 1767 at Bristol, RI.


                     Generation Three

4.  Ann Throope (John2, William1); b. 27 Dec 1699 at Bristol, RI; m.
Cornelius Waldron, son of George Waldron and Rachel Baker, Nov 1718;
int; d. 7 Aug 1790 at Bristol, RI, at age 90.
     She and Cornelius Waldron resided at Bristol, RI.

     Cornelius Waldron was born on 4 Sep 1697 at Bristol, RI. He was a
blacksmith. He left a will on 4 Oct 1774; proved 6 Oct 1778. He died
on 22 Sep 1778 at Rehoboth, MA, at age 81.

5.  Thomas Throope Jr. (Thomas2, William1); b. 26 May 1710 at Bristol,
RI; m. Mary Billings 6 Mar 1733 at Little Compton, RI; 1st wife; d. 2
Jun 1771 at Bristol, RI, at age 61.
     He and Mary Billings resided at Bristol, RI. He and Mary Billings
had 6 children. He left a will on 31 Oct 1770; proved 5 Aug 1771.

     Mary Billings was born on 19 Oct 1712. She died on 20 Dec 1743 at
age 31.
     Known children of Thomas Throope Jr. and Mary Billings include:
                 i. Hannah Throope; b. 20 Oct 1733 at Bristol, RI; m.
                    Nathaniel Waldron, son of Cornelius Waldron and
                    Ann Throope, 19 Oct 1755 at Bristol, RI; d. 22 Jun
                    1811 at age 77.
                    She and Nathaniel Waldron resided at Bristol, RI.
                    She and Nathaniel Waldron had 11 children.
