of Paul Newman and Joan, 21 Dec 1681 at Witney Meeting, England; 1st
husband; d. before 1695.
     He resided at West Chalow, Berkshire, England.

     Elizabeth Newman was born circa 1660 at Berkshire, England. She
and John Knowles immigrated circa 1695 to Oxford Twp., Philadelphia
Co., PA. She married Thomas Griffith in 1699 at Philadelphia, PA; 2nd
husband. She died at Pennsylvania.
     Known children of John Knowles and Elizabeth Newman were as
follows:

Roberts, 4mo 5 1705 at Oxford Meeting, Philadelphia Co., PA; d. 1743
at Oxford Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA.
     He and Elizabeth Newman immigrated circa 1695 to Oxford Twp.,
Philadelphia Co., PA. He resided at Oxford Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA.
He was a carpenter. He left a will on 29 Mar 1739/40 at Philadelphia
Co., PA.

     Ann Paul was born 7mo 21 1681 at Ilminster, Somersetshire,
England. She died in 1750 at Merion, PA. She resided at Merion,
Philadelphia Co., PA. She left a will on 9 Oct 1750 at Philadelphia
Co., PA; proved 5 Nov 1750.
     Known children of John Knowles and Ann Paul were as follows:

4.  Martha Knowles (John3, John2, John1); b. 24 Jun 1723; m. Thomas
Livezey, son of Thomas Livezey and Elizabeth Heath, 2 Jun 1748 at
Abington Meeting, Abington, PA; d. 29 Oct 1797 at age 74.
     She resided at Roxborough Twp., Philadelphia Co., PA. She left a
will on 29 Aug 1794 at Philadelphia Co., PA; proved 9 Dec 1797.

     Thomas Livezey was born on 25 Mar 1723/24 at Lower Dublin,
Philadelphia Co., PA. He was a miller. He resided at Wissahickon, PA.
He resided at Roxbury, Philadelphia Co., PA. He left a will on 15 Jun
1790 at Philadelphia Co., PA; proved 22 Sep 1790. He died on 11 Sep
1790 at 'Glen Fern', Roxboro, Philadelphia Co., PA, at age 66. He was
buried at Germantown Meeting, Philadelphia Co., PA.
