Hynson Family

                     Generation One

1.  Thomas Hynson; b. circa 1621 at Fordham, England; m. Grace; d.
circa 1666 at Maryland.
     He immigrated in 1651 to Maryland. He was High Commisioner in
1652 at Isle of Kent, MD. He was Sheriff in 1655 at Isle of Kent, MD.
He was a member of the Assembly in 1659 at Maryland.

     Known children of Thomas Hynson and Grace were as follows:
     2.          i. Col. John Hynson, m. Rachel; m. Ann.
                ii. Thomas Hynson; m. Ann Gaine 1663; d. 1679.
                    He resided at Talbot Co., MD.
               iii. Charles Hynson; m. Margaret Harris, daughter of
                    William Harris Esq; d. 1711.
                    He resided at Kent Co., MD.
                iv. Grace Hynson; m. Thomas South.
                 v. Ann Hynson; m. Maj. Joseph Wickes; m. Col. St.
                    Leger Codd, son of William Codd and Mary St.
                    Leger.


                     Generation Two

2.  Col. John Hynson (Thomas1); m. Rachel; m. Ann circa 1693; 2nd
husband; d. May 1705; bur. 10 May 1705.
     He immigrated in 1651 to Maryland. He resided at Kent Co., MD.

     Known children of Col. John Hynson and Rachel were as follows:
     3.          i. Sarah Hynson, m. James Smith.
                ii. John Hynson; m. Mary Stoops, daughter of John
                    Stoops, 1 Jun 1693; d. between 1705 and 1708.
                    He resided at Cecil Co., MD.
               iii. Col. Nathaniel Hynson; m. Hannah; 1st wife; m.
                    Mary Kelly 6 Aug 1714; 2nd wife; d. circa 1721/22.
                    He resided at Kent Co., MD.
                iv. Mary Hynson; m. William Glanville.
                 v. Elizabeth Hynson; m. ___ Rogers.
                vi. Anne Hynson; m. Rev. Stephen Bordley 14 Oct 1702.
               vii. Jane Hynson; m. Philip Holeger.

     Ann married Jonathan Grafton; 1st husband.


                     Generation Three


3.  Sarah Hynson (John2, Thomas1); m. James Smith 21 Jan 1705/6.

     James Smith was born in 1683. He was County Clerk at Kent Co.,
MD. He resided at Kent Co., MD. He died in Mar 1760.
