                      Generation One

1.  Lt. Col. John Scasbrook; m. Mary Martiau, daughter of Capt.
Nicolas Martiau and Jane; 1st wife; m. Elizabeth, daughter of
Elizabeth, after 14 Jan 1657/58; 2nd wife; d. 1679.
     He was a leader in Bacon's Rebellion. He resided at York Co., VA.
He left a will on 18 Apr 1679; proved 24 Jun 1679.

     Known children of Lt. Col. John Scasbrook and Mary Martiau were
as follows:
                 i. Jane Scasbrook; m. John Duke; 1st husband; m.
                    Capt. Thomas Mountfort; 2nd husband; d. before 9
                    Dec 1695.
                ii. Elizabeth Scasbrook; m. David Condon.

     Elizabeth may have been named Farlow. She was a niece of Capt.
George Farlow.
     Known children of Lt. Col. John Scasbrook and Elizabeth were as
follows:
     2.          i. Martha Scasbrook, m. Lt. Col. William Cary.
                ii. Mary Scasbrook.
               iii. Hannah Scasbrook; b. 10 Oct 1673; m. Miles Wills,
                    son of Emanuel Wills and Elizabeth Cary, after 2
                    Apr 1694.
                iv. Capt. John Scasbrook II; b. 27 Mar 1676; m.
                    Elizabeth Cary, daughter of Henry Cary and Judith
                    Lockey, circa 1698.
                    He was Captain of a merchant ship.


                      Generation Two

2.  Martha Scasbrook (John1); m. Lt. Col. William Cary, son of Col.
Miles Cary and Anne Taylor, by 24 Mar 1684/5.

     Lt. Col. William Cary was born circa 1657. He resided at 'Skiffs
Creek', Warwick Co., VA. He was a member of the House of Burgesses. He
left a will on 26 Aug 1711; proved 4 Jun 1713. He died in 1713.
