4.  Tench Francis (John3, John2, Philip1); b. 1705 at England; m.
Elizabeth Turbutt, daughter of Hon. Foster Turbutt and Bridgett, 29
Dec 1724; d. Aug 1758; d. at Philadelphia, PA.
     He immigrated in 1720 to Fausley, Talbot Co., MD. He resided at
Talbot Co., Maryland. He was a clerk and burgess at Talbot Co., MD. He
resided at Philadelphia, PA. He was Attorney General at Pennsylvania.
He left a will on 4 Aug 1758 at Philadelphia Co., PA; proved 18 Aug
1758.

     Elizabeth Turbutt was born on 17 Mar 1708.
     Known children of Tench Francis and Elizabeth Turbutt were as
follows:

                ii. Anne Francis; b. 1727; m. James Tilghman.

                    daughter of Samuel Mifflin; d. 1797.
                    He was a colonel in British Army.
                ix. Philip Francis; b. 1748; m. Henrietta Maria
                    Goldsborough, daughter of John Goldsborough and
                    Ann Turbutt.

5.  Mary Francis (Tench4, John3, John2, Philip1); b. circa 1730; m.
William Coxe, son of Col. Daniel Coxe and Sarah Eckley, 10 Apr 1750;
d. 27 Aug 1800.

     William Coxe was born on 27 Apr 1723. He resided at New Jersey.
He left a will on 27 Dec 1800; proved 12 Oct 1801. He died on 11 Oct
1801 at Burlington, NJ, at age 78.
     Known children of Mary Francis and William Coxe include:
                 i. Rebecca Coxe; b. 3 Feb 1760; m. Samuel Witham
                    Stockton; m. Dr. William McIlvaine, son of William
                    McIlvaine and Anne Emerson, 2 Dec 1782 at
                    Philadelphia, PA; 2nd wife; d. 13 or 14 Sep 1783
                    at age 23; bur. at St. Mary's Church, Burlington,
                    NJ.
                    She resided at Burlington, NJ.

6.  Margaret Francis (Tench4, John3, John2, Philip1); b. 17 Aug 1735
at Talbot Co., MD; m. Edward Shippen, son of Edward Shippen and Sarah
Plumly, 29 Nov 1753 at Christ Church, Philadelphia, PA; d. 28 May 1794
at Philadelphia, PA, at age 58.

     Edward Shippen was born on 16 Feb 1728/29 at Philadelphia, PA. He
was Chief Justice in 1799 at Pennsylvania. He died on 16 Apr 1806 at
Philadelphia, PA, at age 77.
