Bridge Family

                          Generation One

1.  William Bridge; b. circa 1615; m. Mary Oldham, daughter of John
Oldham; 1st wife; m. Persis Pierce, daughter of Thomas Pierce and
Elizabeth, by 1643; 1st husband, 2nd wife; d. before 6 Feb 1648/49.
     He immigrated in 1623 to Plymouth, MA; on ship 'Anne.' He was a
ferryman. He resided in 1630 at Watertown, MA. He resided in 1643 at
Charlestown, MA. He resided in 1643 at Boston, MA.

     Persis Pierce was born circa 1625 at England. She immigrated in
1634 to Charlestown, MA. She married John Harrison by 6 May 1653; 2nd
husband. She died on 7 Mar 1682/83.
     Known children of William Bridge and Persis Pierce were as
follows:
                 i. Rebecca Bridge; b. 2 Feb 1643/44 at Charlestown,
                    MA; d. 30 Apr 1644.
                ii. Persis Bridge; b. circa 1645 at Charlestown, MA;
                    m. William Brown by 1664.
     2.        iii. Samuel Bridge, b. 25 Mar 1647 at Charlestown,
                    Middlesex Co., MA; m. Hannah; m. Christian
                    Stoddard.
                iv. Mary Bridge; b. circa 1649 at Charlestown, MA; m.
                    John Knight 22 Jun 1668 at Charlestown, MA; d. 13
                    Aug 1678.
                 v. Peter Bridge; b. 1643/44 at Boston, MA.


                          Generation Two

2.  Samuel Bridge (William1); b. 25 Mar 1647 at Charlestown, Middlesex
Co., MA; m. Hannah by 1672; 1st wife; m. Christian Stoddard, daughter
of Anthony Stoddard and Christian Eire, 3 Dec 1690 at Boston, MA; 2nd
wife, 2nd husband; d. 29 Nov 1717 at age 70.
     He was a carpenter. He resided in 1671 at Boston, MA. He was a
member of the Artillery Company in 1679.

     Hannah died on 11 Jun 1690.
     Known children of Samuel Bridge and Hannah were as follows:
                 i. Samuel Bridge; b. 10 May 1672 at Boston, MA; m.
                    Sarah Smith 24 Dec 1696.
                ii. Hannah Bridge; b. 22 Oct 1673 at Boston, MA; d. 21
                    Jul 1690 at age 16.
               iii. Ellen Bridge; b. 4 Aug 1677 at Boston, MA;
                    baptized 6mo 5 1677 at Boston, MA.
                iv. William Bridge; b. 31 Aug 1679 at Boston, MA;
                    baptized 6mo 31 1679 at Boston, MA; d. 16 Aug 1699
                    at age 19.
                 v. Abigail Bridge; b. 27 Sep 1680 at Boston, MA;
                    baptized 8mo 20 1680 at Boston, MA; m. Samuel
                    Torry 29 Jun 1696; m. Samuel Torry 29 Jun 1699 at
                    Boston, MA.
     3.         vi. Persis Bridge, b. 30 Mar 1683 at Boston, MA; m.
                    Lt. Erasamus Stevens.
               vii. Benjamin Bridge; b. 18 Feb 1684 at Boston, MA;
                    baptized 22 Feb 1684 at Boston, MA; m. Christian
                    Pierce 12 Jun 1707.
              viii. Ebenezer Bridge; b. 2 Aug 1687 at Boston, MA; m.
                    Mary Roberts 11 May 1710.
                ix. John Bridge; b. 5 Oct 1689; d. 29 Aug 1690.

     Christian Stoddard married Nathaniel Pierce; 1st husband. She
died in Oct 1711.
     Known children of Samuel Bridge and Christian Stoddard were:
                 i. Mary Bridge; b. 18 Mar 1697 at Boston, MA.


                          Generation Three

3.  Persis Bridge (Samuel2, William1); b. 30 Mar 1683 at Boston, MA;
baptized 2mo 1 1683 at Boston, MA; m. Lt. Erasamus Stevens, son of
Erasamus Stevens and Elizabeth Clarke, 25 Sep 1707; 1st wife.

     Lt. Erasamus Stevens was born in 1686. He resided at Boston, MA.
He was a carpenter. He was a member of the Ancient and Honorable
Artillery Company. He married Susanna Welch, daughter of John Welch,
on 27 Dec 1739; 2nd wife, 3rd husband. He left a will on 19 Mar 1744.
He died on 22 Jun 1750 at Boston, MA.
