ALL SAINTS CHURCH - PENTEWAN

Vicarage same as St. Austell

The present Church building was erected in 1821 and was planned to be in middle of a terrace, but the southern end was never built. It was subsequently closed as a place of worship and used as a carpenter's workshop, but was restored and re opened as a church in 1878.

Due to a fall in the permanent population of the village, and the need for extensive repairs, there was again the possiblity that the church would close a couple of years ago. However, due to the hard work and dedication of a few, the church has just had a new roof and been redecorated inside. This means that it will continue to be a place for vistors and local people alike to experience the peace and presence of God.

The church is open daily during the summer months, and services take place at 8am on the first Sunday of the month, and at 9:15am on the other Sundays.
